This Privacy Policy explains how Sowban Trading collects, uses, shares, protects and retains information when you browse our website, create an account, place an order or contact support.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Sowban Trading is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our address is MAA Monjil (2nd Floor-west side), 6/1 Hafizullah Road, Begum Bazar, Chawkbazar Model Police Station, Dhaka 1211, Bangladesh. 2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Name, telephone number and optional email address.
• Delivery address, district, area or suburb, postcode and delivery instructions.
• Account details, saved addresses and login credentials in protected form.
• Order history, selected products, quantities, prices, delivery option and refund records.
• Support messages, complaint details, photographs or videos supplied as return evidence, reviews and survey responses.

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser and device information, page visits, referring page, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps and security logs.
• Cookies and similar technologies needed for carts, checkout, account login, preferences, analytics and fraud prevention.

Sowban currently uses Cash on Delivery and does not ask customers to enter card, mobile-wallet PIN, banking password or OTP details on the website.

3. How we use information

• To create accounts, maintain carts, accept and fulfil orders.
• To calculate delivery zones and charges from the delivery address.
• To contact you about confirmation, substitutions, dispatch, delivery, returns, refunds or support.
• To detect abuse, protect customers, secure the website and keep transaction records.
• To improve catalogue quality, site performance and customer experience.
• To send marketing only where permitted and to honour opt-out requests.
• To meet accounting, tax, consumer-protection, legal and regulatory obligations.

4. When we share information

We share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers performing work for Sowban, including:

• Courier and delivery partners, including Pathao when used, who need the recipient’s name, phone number, address, parcel and collection details.
• Website hosting, database, security, email, SMS, customer-support and analytics providers.
• Professional advisers, insurers, payment or refund providers if electronic refunds are requested, and authorities where required by law.
• A successor organisation if the business is reorganised, provided appropriate safeguards continue.

We do not sell customer personal information. Service providers may use information only for the authorised service, legal compliance and security.

5. Cookies

6. Data retention

We keep order, invoice, delivery and complaint records for as long as reasonably needed for fulfilment, refunds, accounting, tax, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Account information is kept while the account remains active and for a reasonable closure period. Evidence submitted for a return is removed or anonymised when it is no longer needed, unless retention is required for a dispute or law.

We use reasonable administrative, access-control and technical safeguards. No internet system can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers should use a strong password, sign out on shared devices and notify us promptly about suspected account misuse.

8. Your choices and requests

Subject to identity verification and applicable law, you may ask to:

• access or obtain a copy of personal information associated with your account;
• correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• delete an account or information no longer needed, subject to records we must retain;
• withdraw optional marketing consent or unsubscribe;

অর্ডার, ইনভয়েস, ডেলিভারি ও অভিযোগের রেকর্ড পূরণ, রিফান্ড, হিসাব, কর, প্রতারণা প্রতিরোধ ও আইনি প্রয়োজনে যতদিন যুক্তিসংগত ততদিন রাখা হয়। প্রয়োজন শেষ হলে রিটার্ন প্রমাণ মুছে বা নামবিহীন করা হয়, বিরোধ বা আইনগত প্রয়োজন ছাড়া।

৭. নিরাপত্তা
